Why does the voice list differ between devices?

Text to Speech uses the voices installed on your operating system and exposed by the browser. Chrome on Windows, Safari on a Mac and Android phones all ship different voice sets, and some voices only appear a moment after the page has loaded.

How accurate is the OCR?

Tesseract.js does well on clean, horizontal, high-contrast text such as screenshots and scanned documents. Handwriting, skewed photos and stylised fonts produce errors. The recognition runs in your browser, so the image is not uploaded.

What format does the Screen Recorder produce?

WebM, which is what browsers can encode natively. It plays in Chrome, Firefox and Edge and in VLC; to get MP4 you will need to convert it with another program.
