Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 September 2026
These terms cover your use of boxtool.app and the tools published on it. Using the site means you accept them.
What BoxTool is
BoxTool is a free collection of browser-based utilities — calculators, converters, formatters, and generators. Each tool runs as JavaScript on your own device. There is no account to create, nothing to install, and no upload step: what you enter stays in your browser.
Using the service
You may use BoxTool for personal or commercial work, including output you produce with the tools. You do not owe us attribution, though a link is always welcome.
You agree not to:
- interfere with the service or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it;
- scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for other people, or republish it wholesale as your own;
- use the tools to build or distribute anything unlawful.
What you make with the tools
Anything you enter, and anything a tool produces from it, belongs to you. We claim no rights over it and never see it. The site's own text, code, and design remain ours.
Accuracy and its limits
Every tool is tested against known values before publication, and the accompanying articles are written to describe what the tool actually does rather than what it ideally would. Even so, results can be wrong — through a bug, a rounding choice, an out-of-date reference value, or a case we did not anticipate.
Treat the output as a useful starting point, not an authority. Do not rely on it alone for medical, legal, financial, structural, or safety decisions; consult a qualified professional. Some tools, such as currency conversion, work from stored reference values rather than live data — where that is the case, the tool's own page says so.
If you find an error, please report it. Corrections are made promptly and the tool's article is updated to match.
Availability
The site is provided as-is and free of charge. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and tools may be changed or withdrawn.
Advertising
BoxTool is funded by advertising, which is what keeps it free and account-free. Advertising, when shown, is served by Google AdSense and is separate from tool output: no ad changes what a tool calculates or displays. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work and how to opt out.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including losses that follow from relying on a tool's output. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, where the operator is based, without affecting consumer protections you have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the last change, and material changes are described rather than applied silently.
- 8 September 2026 — reworded the Advertising section to describe precisely how ads are served. The date above now records the last actual change to these terms.
