Do the shortened links work outside my browser?

No. This is a client-side simulator. The links are stored in your browser's localStorage and only resolve within this page. No real shortening service is involved.

How long are the auto-generated codes?

Codes are 6 random alphanumeric characters, e.g. aB3xY9.

Can I use a custom alias?

Yes. Type your desired alias in the Custom Alias field before clicking Shorten. Aliases must be unique; the tool will warn you if one is already taken.

Where is my data stored?

All link data is stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data or using a different browser will remove the links.

Can I delete a shortened link?

Yes. Each link in the list has a Delete button to remove it from localStorage.

How to use
