How is the weighted average calculated?

Each score is multiplied by its weight, all weighted scores are summed, then divided by the total weight. This gives higher-weight items more influence on the final grade.

What GPA scale does this use?

The standard 4.0 scale: A=4.0, B=3.0, C=2.0, D=1.0, F=0.0. You can also customize the percentage thresholds to match your institution.

Can I customize letter grade cutoffs?

Yes. The default thresholds are A≥90, B≥80, C≥70, D≥60, and F below 60. You can adjust these in the settings panel to match your institution's grading policy.

How does the 'What do I need?' calculator work?

Enter your current percentage grade, the weight of remaining assignments, and your target final grade. The tool solves for the score you need: Required = (Target × TotalWeight − Current × EarnedWeight) / RemainingWeight.
