No. This tool uses color-based thresholding and flood fill. It works best on images with a solid or near-solid background color.

Is my image sent to a server?

No. All processing is done locally in your browser using the Canvas API.

What image formats are supported?

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and GIF (first frame). The output is always a PNG with transparency.

The edges look rough — how do I improve them?

Try increasing the tolerance slightly for uneven backgrounds, or use a lower tolerance to preserve more edge detail. For complex backgrounds consider a dedicated AI tool.
