What lessons are included?

Five lessons are available: Home Row (ASDF GH JKL;), Top Row (QWERT YUIOP), Bottom Row (ZXCV BNM), Numbers (0–9), and Full Sentences combining all keys with common English words.

How is WPM calculated?

WPM = (characters typed ÷ 5) ÷ minutes elapsed. Dividing by 5 normalises to an average word length. The counter updates in real time as you type.

Does it penalise for errors?

Errors are counted and displayed, and they affect accuracy percentage. Accuracy = (correct characters ÷ total characters typed) × 100. To finish a lesson you must type the full text; backspace is allowed to correct mistakes.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Your best WPM and accuracy for each lesson are stored in your browser's localStorage. They persist across sessions so you can track your improvement over time.

Start with Home Row keys (ASDF JKL;), move to the Top Row (QWERTY UIO P), then Bottom Row (ZXCV BNM), Numbers, and finally Full Sentences. The lesson text displays above the input area; as you type, correct characters highlight green and errors highlight red. Live stats track Words Per Minute (WPM), accuracy percentage, and total error count for the current session. Lesson progress and best WPM per lesson are saved in localStorage so you can track improvement over time. Restart the current lesson at any time to try for a better score.

使い方

1 Select a lesson from the lesson tabs: Home Row, Top Row, Bottom Row, Numbers, or Sentences.
2 Click the text input area or press any key to start the timer.
3 Type the displayed text — correct characters turn green, errors turn red.
4 Watch your live WPM and accuracy stats update as you type.
5 Complete the lesson to see your final score and compare it to your personal best.
6 Click 'Restart' to repeat the lesson and aim for a higher WPM.
7 Progress through lessons in order to build a complete typing foundation.
