What timezone database does this use?

This tool uses the browser's built-in Intl.DateTimeFormat API which relies on the IANA timezone database. It is always up to date with the latest DST rules.

How does it detect DST?

DST is detected by comparing the UTC offsets in January and July for each timezone. If they differ, the timezone observes DST, and a sun icon appears when the selected date falls in the DST period.

Can I convert across more than 5 timezones?

The tool supports up to 5 target timezones simultaneously for a clean, readable layout. Change any target slot to a different timezone at any time.

Does the 'Now' button update automatically?

Clicking 'Now' loads the current date and time once. It does not auto-refresh. Click it again to update to the latest current time.
