What characters can be encoded?

Letters A–Z, digits 0–9, and common punctuation (period, comma, question mark, apostrophe, exclamation mark, slash, parentheses, ampersand, colon, semicolon, equals, plus, minus, underscore, quote, dollar, at sign) are supported. Unknown characters are skipped.

What is the difference between dots and dashes?

In Morse code a dot (dit) is the shortest signal unit. A dash (dah) is three times as long. Letters are separated by one unit gap, words by seven units.

Can I change the colors?

Yes. Use the foreground color picker to set the dot/dash color and the background color picker to set the canvas background. You can create high-contrast badge-style images or transparent backgrounds.

How do I download the image?

Click the 'Download PNG' button to save the canvas as a PNG file to your device. The filename will be 'morse-code.png'.
